Mentorship is essentially just my way of offering to show up for your life, walk side by side with you, hold your hand in some moments, while I push you forward in others. To encourage you, challenge you, play with you.

I approach mentorship from the foundation of creation, and can absolutely show up as guidance to further your artistry, but you do not need to be an “artist” or a photographer for us to work together in this way. I have been a “ReEnchantment WingWoman” to young children, artists, engineers, mothers, thinkers, men from every generation, writers, athletes, musicians, talkers, queerfolk, and health nuts. Even to people who do not claim to be anything; not yet, anyway. It is my belief that art is the expression of an inner world revealed, and through this lens, most of human experience can be understood as art itself. This kind of engagement is centered in the devotion of coming to understand your core, and discovering together how having a witness to that core might change us both.

To relate to one another in this way is a dynamic exchange of listening and taking action, that stems from understanding how your desires and needs overlap with one another. The interplay between structure and fluidity is significant when inviting in growth like this, so creating a schedule that supports you is something we do together, partly through communication and partly through what I can intuit about you. Through this journey you will collect experiences that will be significant to your life’s story, and be prompted for creating as you feel led by your inner fire.

Please begin with the Initiation Form below— this will help me gauge what kind of support you are looking for so that I can confidently discern if I’d be a good fit for your needs. Should we decide to move forward together, we will begin with a consultation call, where we’ll come to know one another better and co-create a supportive interactive timeline between the two of us.

I am overjoyed to be your WingWoman, thank you for trusting me.

Mentorship with Sky is something I can only describe as a journey home to my most honest, unbridled self. Sky has a true gift for finding that golden thread of magic in people and partnering with them to unravel all that is beautiful within—while honoring and celebrating each step towards bringing that realized self into the world.

Our time together was a container where I felt challenged to confront my limitations, safe to explore, and empowered to share my findings.

Before our six weeks together, I had hoped to “become” an artist. Sky’s knowing gaze found the artist already hiding within me and convinced her to come out and play. Her tailored approach allowed for our curriculum to shift and adapt to best serve me throughout the process.

The weekly assignments and discussions quickly became foundational and formative for me as I stepped into my artistry. As a mentor, Sky showed up for me as a guide, playmate, and big sister. Even after our time together, I feel her cheering and championing me closer to myself and my art.

Friends in my life who had no idea I had begun mentorship with Sky were quick to notice the renewed sense-of-self and confidence that was rapidly developing within me throughout the process. It is still bewildering to me that in six short weeks, Sky’s felt presence, playful encouragement, and razor-sharp intuition made it possible for me to unclog the sticky stagnancy and fear keeping me from bringing myself—and my art—into the world.

Our time together is easily one of my greatest honors and treasures. I’m more inspired and prolific in my artistry than ever. I behold the world around me, loved ones, and myself with a brighter, more expansive gaze. I feel equipped with plenty of new resources, tools and methods that I know will serve me better as I continue growing as an individual and as an artist.

With an artist’s attention to detail and a great capacity for receiving information, as well as a gift for expression, Skylar lives and leads by example. Skylar’s life is driven by exploration, and everything she learns she incorporates into a truly singular and honest life. Her daily routines, her relationships and art, the homes she creates, the climates she lives in, all reflect a life of puzzle-piece curiosity in pursuit of knowing herself and caring for her health holistically.

In this way, Skylar is constantly spilling over. One consequence of her fearlessness is this inspiration that moves others, including myself, to explore their own worlds. Beyond this, though, Skylar is committed to raising everything around her alongside herself. I see it in how much she loves her younger brothers, how careful she is with knowing everyone she meets by name (Skylar does not forget a name), how she engages in art and economy in her communities, I see it in how she loves me.

Skylar’s cultivated self-knowledge helps her to see others with the same patience and curiosity she has for herself. Whether I realized it or not, she has spent many years teaching me to use the tools in my kit to build the life I want to live, and helping me wade through the mud to see the vision more clearly. I’m better at saying no now; I’m inspired more easily; I see the world through kinder eyes; I love. Her sisterhood has touched every aspect of my life and reverberated into my relationships with other strong women. Loving and being loved by Skylar has expanded my ability to love everything else around me.
